LOOK UP!

Juggle balls and keep them up in the air in this Playdate remake of the 1980 classic Game & Watch: Ball.

Skillfully control the juggler's hands so he can catch the balls as they arc over his head. Drop a ball just once and it's game over! CRUSH!

DON'T DROP THE BALL!

Reach for the high score by juggling the balls as long as you can. Be sure to keep up as the balls start moving faster and faster!

GAMEPLAY

GAME A

Juggle two balls and keep them up in the air. Move left and right to move the juggler's hands so he can catch the balls as they arc over his head.
You earn one point for every ball caught. Drop a ball just once (CRUSH!) and it's game over!

GAME B

Game B is more difficult than Game A and increases the number of balls to three.
You'll earn ten points for every ball caught. GAME B is otherwise the same as Game A.

The speed gradually gets faster as the game progresses. But when you reach 100 points in Game A or 1000 points in Game B, the speed will temporarily slow down.

When you earn more than 280 points in Game A or 2800 points in Game B, the balls may look like they are overlapping because of their speed.

The highest achievable score is 9999 in Game A and 9990 in Game B. After you reach the top score, your score will return to 0.

CONTROLS

D-pad (Left): Move Left
D-pad (Right) and A Button: Move Right
B Button: Start a new game after the game is over or when the clock is running.

The Crank can also be used to move left and right.

Use the 🟡 Menu Button to start a new GAME A or GAME B, or enter the Clock display.

CLOCK

As the name implies, you can use your Playdate as a clock!

Watch the juggler masterfully keep that one ball in the air like the master juggler he is.

Hours of fun! Playdate Stereo Dock ready!

Thanks for the heads-up, I’ll try to look into this as soon as possible.

Would you know if you have the v2 hardware? And is it firmware 2.4.2?

I have the v1 hardware and don’t get any issues when playing, even after clearing the game data.

Was this seen the very first time playing the game, or was this game played before with a previous high score already saved?

Hi, thanks for your blitz reply. I already had a highscore , I played it since it came out. I have revision 1 hw, and 2.4.2 . As I write this comment I tried your solution and remove game data. Now it works! :) only wish it was playable after 180 score, the ball doubling effect is too prominent. On Game & Watch I was able to go beyond 350

Is there an option to show high score? I just played till 299 but never saw it shown

Press the menu button ⊙ and the left portion of the screen shows the controls and the high score for the current mode in play.

you sure are right! 😎 Thanks. Still by far my fav game and watch adaptation

this is amazing!! Thanks for creating and sharing it. Please do more Crank & Watch games!!!!

This looks so crisp on the Playdate screen! I was genuinely blown back when I first opened it. So excited for more - would love to see 'Chef' in particular!

(Happy to say that I've been made aware of and picked up Strangest.io's 'Paging Dr. Floppy' since leaving this comment!! Game & Watch fits this platform like a glove.)

I never got to play the originals and I'm having a lot of fun! Fantastic work!

I was looking up for this one to be relased! I seems to play easier than original, but after around score 270 in game A balls start to leave traces. There are 4 balls on the screen, the current and previous positions are shown at the same time for each of the 2 balls, hard to keep track.

This is in line with the original G&W version and any other later releases. At a score of 280, the ball will start showing a ‘trace’ effect to make things  little harder.

Thanks for the download!

I never would have known how much fun Game & Watch actually was until these ports.

Thank you <3
